I.S.P.C.C Collecting

On the 9th of Decmber all TY's went into town to collect money for I.S.P.C.C. The I.S.P.C.C  is an Irish charity focused on improving the relationship between parents and their children while promting a better understanding of the childs needs. There is a total of 469 volunteers working with the charity.

In the morning we were split into two's and given a bucket, a sign and hollies to sell. We were on baggots street and collected lots of money between the three of us. It was very cold having to stand outside the whole day. After about half one we headed back over to the main I.S.P.C.C building and handed in our boxes before we were allow to leave for shopping and lunch. It was a very fun day and all done for great cause.

Amber Flag Day
On Friday the 4th of December we had our Amber Flag Day to raise mental health awareness. All the TY's had to wear amber and bake for the bake sale. Throughout the day we were in the library and launched the official Amber Flag website.

Teachers were encouraged to do fun activities with each of their classes like watching a movie or playing games. At lunch time there was face painting in the library and a bake sale in the hall. There was also busking in the courtyard and pictures were taken with the emoiji baords. We raised lots of money at the bakesale for charity and everyone brought in lots to sell.

Overall the day was full of positivity and happiness. Everyone got fully involved and a great day was had by all students and teachers. :) :))
